Overseas Workers Voice Uganda ( OWVU) is a non profit organization dedicated to protecting the rights and welfare of Ugandan migrant workers. We work tirelessly to eradicate human trafficking, promote safe migration, empower communities and advocate for policies that support the dignity and well being of migrant workers.

Our story
Due to the severe abuses faced by ugandans working abroad, especially domestic workers in the middle East , including physical violence,no payment salaries and even death , OWVU was founded to address these challenges and ensure migrant workers are treated with dignity and respect.

To tackle and address social and community factors driving Gender based violence,to empower young adults in communities to have necessary information on human trafficking and advocate for top down policies that eradicate domestic and gender based violence.
